Freedom Estate is a classic Cabernet made with a blend of estate grown blocks from Somerston Vineyards and Vasser Vineyards (V12) in the hillsides of Napa Valley. These vineyards have diverse soils, microclimates, and exposures which are perfect for growing world-class grapes. These remarkable properties located in the higher altitudes of Napa Valley are historically recognized for their desirable qualities in growing grapes. The natural conditions of early morning sun and radiant warmth provided to both of these vineyards makes it perfect for what we look for in the fruits for our wine. Freedom Estate embodies the essence of passion, perseverance and the pioneering spirit of Napa Valley winemaking.

Soon after the September 11, 2001 disaster, a wine auction was organized by Lake Garda, Italy with the proceeds benefitting the families of the employees of Wines on the World. 100 vintners from Napa and Italy donated a magnum. Steve and Linda Sherwin created this specially designed bottle for the occasion, featuring the American Flag and the words "In God We Trust" and "United We Stand" and dedicated it to those lost in the tragedy. Paired with an Italian bottle, the lot was one of the top lots in the whole auction.
Following the success, the Sherwins produced more bottles to raise money for charitable causes, working with the Federal government to receive approval to use the American Flag, making them the only winery to do so.
